You're Not Alone in Wanting to Live Better
Miwa Project is a movement for people who are tired of endless consumption and ready for real connection. We're building communities where mindful living, genuine belonging, and climate action happen together. One small choice, one gathering, one person at a time.
We believe, consumption was never meant to be endless. Us humans were not designed to consume the abundance of the world without restraint. Our task is not to take more, but to take enough, and give life the space to renew itself.

We Gather
Twice a month in parks and green spaces—to color, walk, talk, or just be. No pressure, no performance. Just neighbors becoming friends.

We Learn Together
Simple, doable ways to live lighter on the earth. From #EatItAnyway to #PrelovedNotSecondBest, we share challenges that anyone can try. No shame, no perfection required.

We Volunteer with Purpose
Food rescue. Community planting. Clean-ups. Doing good together, side by side.

We Partner for Change
Working with schools and businesses to create eco-experiences that inspire lasting action.
Fighting Climate Change,
One Choice at a Time
Reducing Carbon Footprint
Every meal saved, every item swapped, every reusable bottle used—it all adds up. Our community aims to prevent more CO2 from entering the atmosphere by choosing repair over replacement, preloved over new, and local over shipped.
Keeping Waste Out of Landfills
Through this community, food rescued and shared, items given new life through swaps and donations, single-use items avoided through reusables, and more waste diverted through mindful choices.
Building Community Resilience
Our community connects people, and volunteer hours creating visible change. Twice a month, we held gatherings where people just got to belong and more cities starting their own movements.
The Ripple Effect
But here's what matters most: each person in our community influences 3-5 others. When you choose differently, the people around you notice. They start asking questions. They try it themselves. Change spreads; not through lectures, but through living examples.

choose what resonates with you most
Learn & Act
Small steps you can actually take. No shame, no perfection required. We share simple ways to live lighter on the earth. From eating the imperfect tomato to mending your favorite jeans. Because every choice is a chance to choose differently.
Connect & Belong
Ever feel like everyone's buying things you don't need but somehow feel like you should want? Us too. That's why we gather; to remind each other that we're enough, that connection heals, and that real community doesn't come with a price tag. Join us in the park, at volunteer days, or just for a quiet moment of coloring together.
Build Something Lasting
We partner with schools, businesses, and organizations who want to do more than just talk about sustainability. Together, we create experiences that help people fall back in love with the planet and remember why it's worth protecting.
Little Things,
Done with Love
Here's what we believe: You don't need to be perfect to make a difference.
You just need to start somewhere.
Our movement is built on small, doable acts that anyone can try.And when we share these moments—the messy, real, unglamorous ones—we give each other permission to keep going.

#EatItAnyway
That bruised apple? Last night's rice turned into fried rice? The soup that's delicious but doesn't photograph well? Eat it anyway. Food doesn't have to be beautiful to be worthy. Share your real meals and help us fight food waste, one honest plate at a time.#PrelovedNotSecondBest
There's a story in everything you've loved and used. When you pass it on, you're not getting rid of something—you're giving it a new chapter. Share what you're letting go of, find treasure in what others offer, and remember: secondhand is just another word for loved twice.#BottleUp
Your reusable bottle isn't just good for the planet—it's a tiny rebellion against a world that wants everything to be disposable. Show us yours. Tell us its story. Let's normalize carrying our own.#BuyNothingDay
Once a month, see what happens when you don't buy anything new. Repair something. Use what you have. Sit with the feeling of "enough." Share how it felt—the hard parts and the surprising parts.
#RealNeedCheck
Before you click "buy," pause. Ask yourself: Do I need this, or am I just feeling something? Bored? Stressed? Lonely? Sometimes what we need isn't stuff—it's a walk, a conversation, or just permission to feel what we're feeling.#MendItMonday
The button that fell off. The torn hem. The wobbly chair. What if we fixed things instead of replacing them? Share your repairs, no matter how small. Let's bring back the idea that things are worth keeping.#PackageFreeFriday
Try buying one meal's ingredients without any packaging. It's harder than it sounds, but it opens your eyes. Share your wins, your frustrations, and the places that make it easier. We're figuring this out together.
Where You Can Just Be
There's this ache that comes from always scrolling, always comparing, always wanting. The ads tell us we need more. Social media makes us feel like everyone else has it figured out. But here's the truth we keep learning together: what we really need is each other. This is a community for people who are tired of performing and ready to just... exist. Together. Imperfectly. Honestly.

Right now, we're about 50 people in our first community. We know each other's names. We notice when someone's missing. We celebrate the small wins; like someone saying no to a purchase they didn't need, or finally fixing something they'd meant to fix for months. We're not trying to be big. We're trying to be real.
Twice a Month, We GatherSometimes we meet in a park and color. Yes, really—adults with coloring books, sitting on grass, talking or not talking. Sometimes we walk slowly through green spaces. Sometimes we just sit. There's no agenda. No productivity. Just presence. And it turns out, that's revolutionary.
We Volunteer, Side by Side
Rescuing food that would otherwise be wasted, knowing it will feed someone
Planting flowers in neighborhood spaces, making beauty accessible to everyone
Cleaning up parks and beaches, caring for the places we all share
Learning from each other—how to repair, how to cook, how to make things last
We Hold Space for the Hard StuffIn small circles, we talk about what it's like to live in a world that constantly tells us to buy our way to happiness. We share the pressure we feel, the guilt, the overwhelm. And we remind each other: you're not broken for feeling this way. The system is.
Clothing swaps where one person's "over it" becomes another's "perfect"
Repair workshops where we learn to fix instead of replace
Potlucks where we practice making abundance from what we have
Garden days where we get dirt under our nails and vegetables on our tables
Quiet walks in nature where we remember what matters
Movie nights with documentaries that make us think and talk
Clean-up adventures where we make visible change together
Skill swaps—teach something you know, learn something new
Seasonal celebrations using what nature offers, not what stores sell
Let's Create Experiences That Matter
We work with businesses, schools, and organizations who know that sustainability can't just be a poster on the wall. It has to be felt, practiced, and turned into habit on how we spend our days.We help you create moments where people actually do something. Not because they were lectured, but because they experienced something real.

This is our story
Recreating our world, a mini world project.
This started with a feeling. That suffocating sense that we were supposed to want things we didn't actually want. That we should be keeping up with people who were also just trying to keep up. That happiness was always one more purchase away.A few of us started meeting in a park, just to talk about it. To admit we were tired. To wonder if there was another way to live.Turns out, we weren't the only ones feeling this way. What started as a handful of friends has become a community of people who are learning together that the good life isn't about having more; it's about being more present, more connected, more intentional. We're still figuring it out. We still mess up. But we're doing it together, and that makes all the difference.
Progress over perfection – Every try counts, even the imperfect onesConnection over consumption – People, not products, fill the empty spacesAction over anxiety – We focus on what we can do, right where we areBelonging over judgment – Your journey is yours; we're just here to walk alongsideLocal over distant – Change starts in our own neighborhoods, with our own neighbors
